My friend has a ZX. It seems to have a rather strange problem. When you start the car cold, the steering when turned, makes a bit of a low whining noise. Also we where driving yesterday and he braked quite sharply and the car made rather a loud clicking sound towards the end.

Also as he dropped me off as he was turning away he full locked the steering wheel and it made the same clickin noise that happened when braking sharply!!

Cant seem to figure out what it is !!!

Any1 have any ideas!!!

Sounds power steering pump related when its cold. Could it be battery related for the clicking?

When the battery is on its way out the relays start to click rapidly - its a long shot but all sorts of odd things happen when the battery is on its way out. Easy to get checked though.

Its not constant clicking. Only when u full lock or do sharp braking. Its just 1 loud click and thats it.

Cant seem to figure out wat it is, but ill get the fluids checked and battery tested. If you have any other ideas on wat it might be let us know!!!

could it be the tension bar bushes? If they're completely shot or the bolts are not 100% tight (which easily hapens if they've been replaced) then it would allow the tension rod to move on full lock and on braking.
