I know I have used my z in winter and maybe that's why, but I was polishing it today and noticed how many minor but noticable stone marks there were over the bonnet. Basically it's got little marks all over. Is this 'normal' I don't tailgate, and I probably go a lot slower than a lot of folk.

Is it just the colour of my car, or have others got this. I usually use Autoglym and the Clear Resin top coat, hoping that would protect the bonnet a bit more. They don't seem to be down through every layer of the paintwork, just grey little imperfections. I would get the bonnet repaired by Chips Away or someone, but it's only going to happen again, isn't it.

Is no-one else bothered by this, or am I the only one?

unavoidabe im afraid. live with it or buy an american "bra" which makes it look horrible!!

I've just looked at old posts with a picture of one of them on a z. It looked dreadful. I just noticed how they have built up since I last looked. The front bumper is completely untouched, just little blemishes on the bonnet itself. Is it just my paint colour that seems to show them up, the fact I've just polished it, or does everyone get them? What's the best colour for not noticing them- white?

I have hundreds, very annoying but nothing you can do I suppose.

Not supprised Rich with all the crap on the roads round leamington mate at the mo...:(

Dont worry I get them on my lovely black paint. They show up wjite though!!!! The other way to get round it is to get in touch with a company called Armoufend. They have done a Morgan Aero 8 for us and it looked spot on. You can hadrly see it. If you didn't know it was there you wouldn't notice it.

I drove past a gritter the other day on the motorway.

I had to overtake it or follow it for miles with salt and grit everywhere. But as I pased, my car took a RIGHT PASTING.

Not nice.

In future I think I'll wait for an exit roundabout, pull off there and get back on in front of the gritter.

Why is it the centre panel always seems to take a beating?
