or is my car i should say a swb tt slick top, just purchased - it roks anyone else got one ?

Looked for ages for one of those, but had to settle for a Tbar in the end. Still SWB though :)

SWB slick to I would say it the most unusuall combination.

 

It should be the fastest version of the Z as it is the lightest by quite a bit.

 

I have only ever seen 1 other like yours.

I WISH it was a TT, but it is a slicktop, and it does look good. SWB. The best looking. In fact, an SWB looks WAY better than a 2+2 (like I've said in other threads :D )What colour is yours fairlight? There was a wine red slick top TT up on the trader from a dealer (I think) in the North or Scotland for about £8 k just after the summer.

Mine's a manual. I could be well wrong, but are all slicktops manual? If my car was a TT I would be completely happy. But to drone on like I have in other threads, I've learned to love my NA.

mine is white i guess it could be worse! got this from yorkshire - i think all slicks are manual actually -rich you can always drop a tt engine in you will be even faster minus hicas and abs

Only seen one slicktop, and that was in a photo!

It was on the aus site, silver with a wide arch kit, looked

awesome. If yours looks anywhere near as good as that

one did, then you're very lucky, and me and probably

everyone else on this site are VERY jealous! :bow:

Mine has ABS. but not cruise control or leather, or electric seats for that matter. I don't think I lost out there- just bought the boggo Jap model I suppose.

I'd be a bit careful running that ECU on UK fuel at high boost. It's got some very aggressive timing!

cheers guys , i will have some pic tomorow when it is washed! i love the way it looks it has 17" volks racing alloys veilside body kit and vented front grill lowered adjustable shocks, decated but standard exhaust system which is odd , it has some hooks welded on to the drivers side to take a racing seat i think obvioslyt been hammered round tokyo , and a minidisk player , if anyone wants that?

it is ***ing fast by standards quicker than my 94 mr2 turbo but not as quick as a 02 porche 911turbo as i found out yesterday he was about 4 car lenghts ahead after bout 1/4 mile

In fact, just checked the thread again - that one at the Scottish dealer is the car I bought, also has 17" Volk rims and the Central 20 ECU plus more.

hi john -nice motor you got there i think a thats a good point with the fuel as i looked at the fuel map via the new conzult and there were many "red" areas but geoff at zedworld didnt think it was that bad - do you rate optimax? i have used bp ultimate and normal unleaded so far.

 

The fuel maps aren't the problem on that one, it's the timing. TBH, it looks like all they did was lift the entire japanese stock timing map by 5deg! The high load sites aren't all that bad, but some of the light/mid load might cause problems.

I'd always use optimax if I were you. DON'T run 95 RON with that amount of timing! BP Ultimate seemed OK to me, but remember someone used it and had det that went away when they filled with optimax (Pete Shrimp?).

Mines a SWB TT auto series 3 Slicktop (White) seems one of the rarest around and faster than my UK Manual (Red)

My manual gearbox and ancilliaries came out of a crashed SWB TT hard-top. It was a '96 car in silver. Didn't even realise they were that rare. I should have offered for the whole car !! It only needed a drivers side wing and some door work....oh well. I guess writing that one off made them even rarer then :D

 

It also had the 16" BBS alloys stamped 'Nissan' which I haven't seen anywhere else.

Not me guvnor ;) My baby always drinks Shells/BPs finest - havent tried it on Esso farmers petrol and the like hehe

The only other SWB Hardtop I've seen belonged to Jan Chases Mrs, I think that was an NA though.
