It's looks like the 24hr karting is going ahead and I have been fleasing everyone at work. However, I would like to over the opportunity to everyone here to sponsor the Zmen.
For those of you that would like to sponsor, unless you would prefer to sponsor a specific person, you can sponsor the team as a whole.
I don't know if this thread can be made in to a sticky but after the event, I will post my address.
24 hour Go Karting Endurance Race starts on Friday Feb 27th 2004 @7.00pm @ Fast Lane Karting King St, Fenton, Stoke-On-Trent.
The team charity will be Cheethams childrens ward NHS ward 110 . they look after children with difficult illnesses incl cancer.
On the 27th and 28th of february 2004 12 teams of up to 12 drivers will be participating in a 24 hour Go Karting endurance race, the aim is to raise as much money as possible for both individual and teams selected charities.
Each team will bring to the event £500 of a much larger sum of money which has been pledged or collected via the generosity of sponsors.The charity pot awarded at the event should then hopefully be a minimum £6000 and each team will nominate to race for one charity of their choice.
Each teams charity will be guaranteed to win £250 with the first three winning teams receiving additional charity prize money as follows;
1st £1500
2nd £1000
3rd £ 500
It is expected that on successful completion of the event a team will have driven between 500 and 600 miles within 24 hours. Which I`m sure you will agree is quite some target Could I please ask you to help make this event a success by Sponsoring a driver.
