Should my radiator move?

Noticed today that the right hand side of my new radiator moves backwards and forwards about 1cm in total. I know there should be a little give in the mounts but the left hand side seems a lot tighter.

Has the garage missed off a bolt or two on it, or shouild it move that much?

Cheers.

Barry, dont know if it should move that much but mines exactly the same.

Had a new rad couple mnths ago.

Underneath the rad there is two rubber grommets that the rad sits in. Quite often these peresh (One has on mine), and hence the rad moves about a little. Wouldnt worry about it unless its touching anything.

Recently put a new rad in and noticed this, but must have been missing for ages. Its never caused me a problem

Chopper's right, there are two ''dowel'' type bits that sit

in the grommets at the btm of the rad, i changed mine myself,

and completely missed the grommets! :slap:

Was just the pipes holding it in! Have a look to make sure

one of them hasn't popped out of the grommet.

All stock rads move slightly, the passenger side will move more that the drivers side, but try not to wiggle it too much you may snap the plastic hose necks :)

Cheers - thanks for the replies, I'll leave it alone.
