On the way home tonight [only took car 4 MoT] she lost all power and loads of smoke started coming from drivers side hope it is not turbo can any body suggest

Do an ECU check. The PTU suddenley dieing will cause that. No spark will occur so you stall but the fuel will be pushed out of the exhaust causining smoke and flames.

I had a turbo hose cum loose on a 200 once, it would'nt run properly smoked a bit!
