UK Speedo connections

Hi, when replacing the speedo dial on my import to a UK unit, i noticed one connection on the back was different at the top right hand corner, on the Japenese unit it was connected to a point marked 100k on the green board, on the UK dial its connected to a point marked 5k, do I need to leave as it was on the UK or change it to the Japanese way? was going to replace the whole unit of rev fuel temp in one go but one of the plugs on the back was the wrong size.     I took the UK speedo itself out of the UK cluster and fitted it into the jap cluster, including the odometer too.

     

    Works fine.
