shocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As my handling feels spongy, I was thinking of uprating my shocks. Would you recommend replacing the springs as well and what types of shocks and springs would you buy and why?

Also, is Z-world the best place to go to buy spares and where is it in Tamworth?

Nissan 300ZX TT (auto) UK car.

Not sure about your suspension, Zedworld is in

Fazely, Nr Tamworth. It's a farm!

I am about to buy a set of Tein flex dampers from the USA (and take advantage of the crap $ at the moment.) You can add the edfc (electronic force adjustment) at a later date if you want. The come complete with top mounts, adjustable spring platforms and 16 position control on the damper itself. The springs are sensibly rated for the road from the numbers I have seen. I'll let you know when I have fitted them!

I spoke with Jeff @ Zedworld. Jeff has ordered me some Japanese import shocks/ spring set that costs only £160. He said the UK versions are £300 alone without fitting and are set up "spongy" for the british roads. The import versions are better made and are stiffer. I'll let you know how they perform after Jeff has fitted them.

If anyone needs help and advice either call Jeff or e-mail hin @ Zedworld. It's how all businesses should operate. Very good (quick) response and he knows his stuff!!

Suspect quotation warning! The UK car has electrically controlled 2 stage adjustables -stiff and near rigid. I replaced mine - they certainly are not set up spongy They are made by Tokico and you re use the actuator off your old ones. Cost is about £120ish each from Nissan. Why would Nissan sell import ones for £35 each for imports and the other price for UK ones? Search for more opinions.

Just to clarify a couple of points the prices quoted were for supply and fitting ( as per web site prices) wwww.zedworld.co.uk.

Having swapped in region of 50 sets of rear shocks and driving in excess of 300 different zeds in the last year I KNOW the UK spec one have two settings, the hardest one been similar in rating to the Jap import type and the been European "comfort " rating (ie: softer).
