A local guy with a zed wants me (alright my dad!!) to have a look at his zed, he has the following problems:

 

running very rough, hunting all over the place, nearly cutting out and backfiring and poping with no power also the engine light keeps coming on.

 

Just thought i would get peoples thoughts before we have a look

Have you done an ecu test, it may be o2 sensor's

im glad the cavalry is about to come ............do you think it may have had anything to do with me changing the battery for a new one , bad earth or something like ??

 

im grasping at straws now mate , went over the connections again last night , no joy though ........

I had the same symptoms and found that my timing was out by a country mile - cost nothing to get it fixed by a friendly man with a timing strobe!

Aha, so you fixed it... and what was the problem?

Think it is a combination of the ptu and poss fueling, i think its over fueling as well but it helped putting my ptu on it!!

maybe i could up the boost a bit seeing as its over fueling it should compensate nicely ...fast is never fast enough
