Right, thought it was about time I organised an event for the Midlands (all area's feel free to attend of course!!) ;)

 

Place: The Boat Inn, Solihull, Birmingham (5 minutes from the NEC/M42)

 

Time: Midday onwards

 

If people want me to organise lunch etc, I need to know about 1-2 weeks in advance of numbers wishing to attend so I can sort tables etc......or we could just go in and swamp the place (obviously depending on numbers attending!! LOL) We have had events at this venue before so I'm sure we will be welcome back!! ;)

Here are the directions I did for the big Easter Meet a couple of years ago:

Directions:

 

If you're coming from the South:

 

M42 (North)

Get off at J5 and turn left onto the A4141 (direction Solihull)

Dual Carriage way turns to single lane.

Turn right onto the B4102 (Hampton lane).

Follow it through until you pass the second side street on the right (Henwood lane) and the Boat Inn is on your right hand side.

 

If you're coming from the North:

 

M42 (South)

Get off at J6 (NEC & airport) and turn right onto the A45 (Birmingham S.E.)

Stay in the left lane which will veer off to the left and onto an island - turn left onto the B4430 (Catherine de-Barnes Lane).

Follow it to the 1st island and turn right onto the B4102 (Hampton Lane).

Go over the humpback bridge and the pub is immediately on your left hand side.

 

There is a large car park at the rear of the Pub which we normally commandeer.

There's a possability that i may be going, if my mate drive's my Z there i will be in the passenger seat, but thats where i will be staying as i will not be up to much walking.... :cry:

Should be no problem to bring the kiddies along - there is a nice grassy area for them to run around on when they're done gawking at all the lovely Zeds!

Ivan let me know your route and what sort of time you will be at the Hobby Horse island. I only live 5 mins form there, I'll be your "wing man" as my Z seems to be a little poorly at the min (BUT QUICK ENOUGH!!!).

 

I spoke with Rich (chunks) last night and he seemed keen to get to this meet, so I think his mate will be driving his car providing he gets his odds and sods sorted and his leg feels better (not good!!)

What's Jeff doing to your car at the minute? Sounds serious? The meets not for another 2 1/2 weeks+

 

Ask Jeff to work nights @ weekends to get it ready!! :x: He worked Sundays on mine..... :)

Would of loved to come but I will be climbing Snowdon that weekend, you never know, I might be able to see the cars from the top of the mountain!!! lol

 

Also, just spoke to Jeff today, he was gonna start the car this weekend but I told him there is no rush as I am going Snowdon, and I need to get me bank straight, had aright mare since Xmas!!!! 2 more saturdays and I'll be as straight as an arrow. ;)

 

Basically Chris, I have a water leak coming from the back of the engine which I believe is one of the heater matrix pipes. Have looked at diagrams of the back of the engine and these are the only two water pipes there as far as I know. Also, the passenger side headlight doesnt work? Dotn knwo why, have tried the bulb, fuse etc etc but doesnt wanna know and lastly, cus its been stood since september, the brakes have siezed, always a winner!!!!!

 

So what spec Zed u got?

I dont know what times yet. I'll have to have a word with the gf and find out what time to meet up. What time does the meet begin? We all need to meet at the hobby horse about an hour before the meet I suppose. I can meet you 2 guy's there if you want. Never been down that way only up A46. Can you get into the carpark from the roundabout?

Thanks for the offer mate ;), but whats up with yours? I was after a black one for ages but couldnt find a UK spec one, the insurance on a Jap was ajoke so I had to get UK.

 

Also forgot to add, the boost is being turned up but I need to get me hands on a second hanf boost controller first?

 

Where can I get one!!!! Need one soon!!!

I have a stock UK TT "Z", with a full Mongoose stainless steel exhaust, APEXi induction system, a 1off specially designed vented bonnet and rear undercarriage, the crappy rear spoiler removed and uprated shocks.
