Z Set Up Help..........

Anyone help???

My Z now has M's (K&N) air intake, Scorpion Zorst and bleed jets (valves, whatever!) I know my Z is not chipped as it shows a standard ECU on conZult software, so I wanted to know if;

I needed to get it chipped?

or

Could I get mine 're-mapped' for the mods I have?

Or does anyone have any other idea's?? I just want to be sure that it's running at it's best.

Thanks in advance.

Matty.

an off the shelf would be fine IMO for those mods. a custom mapped chip may be better but will cost a lot more

se nissan did mine car runs a lot better smother pick up seems quicker and a bit more power. 332 bhp on rolling road no chip (exhaust, air filter , boost upgrade 12 psi F8cked actuater's )

with chip 381 bhp 16 psi

turned down to 14 psi 367 bhp peter did tell me why it was better a this pressure but it went in one ear and out the other, no resistance in the middle ?

but they did pull my pants down when it came to charging.

se nissan did pull my pants down when it came to discharging.

Sorry to hear that Russ........;)

Thanks to you both for your input......:)

A JWT chip or similar will be fine. You will need your ECU socketed for that.

Then if you wanted to go a bit further you could strip out your bleed valves and fit a boost controller. They needn't cost a fortune, the GReddy Profec II is about £250ish.
