Does anyone know of someone good who can look after my TT in the Southampton area ? Will be doing some work myself but really want someone who knows the cars to give it a service and appraisal ?

Im in Lee on sea on a regular basis, her inlaws live there.

I broke down in the Z there (voltage amp)

they did all they could to get me going for free.

Its worth an enquiry there, never see these cars much, whole garage came out to look and advise. I loved it :-)

They even gave me a free console diog to find problem. Bless.

 

As for appraisal its worth a try.

I am guessing that you mean Lee on Solent, nr Portsmouth / Gosport / Fareham ?

You're right it's not too far but I'm not sure about giving the car over to a garage full of people who never work on them, guess that most of what they can check I can find out from this forum, was really looking for maybe an ex nissan mechanic or someone specialising in perf jap cars, thanks for the reply though, may end up taking some pot luck with someone !

[Try Dave at Farlington Motors, Portsmouth. He has looked after the Z I now have for about 7 years, and it seems fine.I have to say that I havent had anything done there yet, but the previous owner recommended him. The receipts look ok and the car works pretty well, apart from the a/c needing charging.

Cheers, will try him for a bit of a health check then - sounds like it'd be OK if the one you have has been looked after by him for 7 years! I used to own a beetle and everyone used to meet up at Southsea pier, you know if this still happens or if there's anything else going on round our way ?
