Went down the tattooists on Friday afternoon with my girl to both get some work done and.....I'm well pleased with the results! Went for the Eye of Horus in black, approx 11x8cm between my shoulderblades (see Avatar!). Been wanting this done since I was 18 and I'm sooo chuffed! Mind you my girls design looks pretty damn fine as well...;) (and before you ask, no we didn't get matching ones!)...Just thought I'd share.

Definately...but not THE "One"...Lol! :D Seen that link before...The meaning behind symbols such as The Eye of Horus is something of a specialist subject for me...I'm currently writing my MA thesis on "Symbolism, the Occult and the Feminine Principle in Nineteenth Century Art". Just been granted permission to do some archive work at the Warburg Institute in London...it's got one of the largest collections of Occult books in the world...should be interesting... ;)

Well I ain't going to bullsh1t and say it didn't hurt, cuz it did! But TBH it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be...the outline was the most uncomfortable part...unfortunately my girlfriend found out that her pain threshold is not quite as high as she thought it was! She didn't cry but the faces she was pulling and noises she was making were a sight to behold...;)never a good idea to get turned on by your girl when you're lying down, trying not to move a muscle(!), havin a needle dug into your back...! :p

Yeah, mine hurt a bit too

I got a fair size one at the top of each arm, and it hurt most on the long sweeping lines. The outline hurts more than the filling in.

wait for the itchy feeling that's a bitch, can be addictive start with one then you end with several. so far 120 hours of someone sticking a needle in.

Itching is really bad, it gets so annoying but its worth it in the end.

As Russ says, there very addictive, I've only got 2 at the moment, but there will be more soon.

Rich :)

Yeah, I got a couple, outline is a bitch.

How you look after it for the next couple of weeks will be how it is for the rest of your life. So take the time to look after it while it is healing.

Blimey, I just thought you lot'd been playing with your felt tips ! LOL :D

Symbolism? A bloke I know has his entire body from neck to ankles and wrists in Night Cammo! Imagine how much that would have hurt!

(He reckons its practicle......he's a mercenary)

Lots of Illuminatus! references in the Matrix... and the whole of that book is references to other things...

Have you read Illuminatus and/or Cosmic Trigger? Total *****cks but probably relevant total *****cks by the sound of it!
