OK .. I have done a search but have failed miserably to get the right information I need.

My battery is FUBAR and I need to get a new one. I have a jap spec (terminals round the other way) and I know I need one above a 500 cca.

My question is what make battery and where to get it?

Thanks

Chris

Thanks Vijay

I have heard that the Bosh silver fit ok but was just wondering if I could get one from Harrys or ATS or summat ... bit nearer to me than Costco ... Just thought someone on here must have bought one for their jap spec and could remember the make.

I went to my local Motorquip parts place. Told them what it was for, discussed which model (eg capacity) would be best and he got it out the back of the storeroom. I noticed the terminals were the wrong way around and he said "OK, you'll need the other model then" and brought the correct one. Easy really.

Hi, bought one yesterday for my jap spec, the number is 088 (as listed in the parts catalogue) i believe most makes use the same numbers, if you want the full spec of size, terminal layout and ratings i have it and can forward to you, should cost you around £40 some places were trying to charge me inexcess of double that so be careful, Richard.

I bought a 088 off the shelf in Halfords for my Jap FLZ. Wasn't cheap though.

I got mine from Kwikfit they went by their chart and had a suitable one.

geoff.
