'econ' is economy mode because as a Zed owner you want to be environmentally sound and save petrol. (Rememeber that the Climate control puts a drag on the engine and hence uses more fuel) Econ somehow manages the on/off more efectively than you will.

'Rec' is recycle, i.e. will no longer suck air from the outside but recycle the aire in the car. This is useful when sitting in traffic behind 1979 Triumph Spitfires!

'Eject' will eject the warp core!

P.S. Made the last one up!

Tooley:

I understand - I begged my employers to let me work last night but they told me to go out out and drink beer instead - what a bummer ;-)

FYI: Alegedly when in 'kick-down' mode the air-con pully is disengaged to enure that you get as many horses from your engine as possible - neat eh!

Tooley, your brave admitting to that. That's 2 ex spitfire owners on the list at least.

The thing is with the Spitfire, where do you go from there and the answer is the ZX surely!

A logical progression!

EUE 187T where are you now? Actually I'd rather not know!

The 'Econ' button stops the air conditioning from operating - with the Econ light on it's like the heater unit in a car without aircon so the coldest air you'll get is outside temperature. And no de-humidifying of the air which is coming in either.

Actually I had a Spitfire before my Z. It was the most horrible thing ever.
