Have just seen they are selling a replacement harness connector - (which I _so_ need). Also, they are selling a different, and much cheaper replacement sensor as well... the connector however, leads me to think that it'll be sticking right up in the air though, when fitted.

I recently fitted this new harness to mine with no probs.

 

IIRC it does poke up higher a bit but nothing to worry about.

I also fitted both temp sensor and harness a while back. no problems here either. The loom is a lot more flexible that in looks in the picture.

 

What you can do it take the insulation off around the connectors and cut the green sticker, then you can remove the plastic casing which is fairly ridgid and replace it with silicone hose, this will add to the flexibility.

I also fitted the sensor & harness from Courtesy.

 

No probe with mine either:)
