Anyone know roughly how much this costs to have done ?

mine cost £60 locally for the full 4-wheel alignment.

Yep - most garages charge £30 for 2 wheels, so my local one doubled it to do all four.

 

I had to go back a few weeks later to have the tracking reset again though - they claimed it often slips after adjustment "!!"

 

They reset it for free, but I have nicely cambered tyres now!

You can pay for people who play with expensive machines or you can use someone who knows the tape measure and wood method and can use a calculator !

 

SE did mine (Pete personally) and they got it "right" when the clever machine at the previous place said it was close enough to spec to not bother messing with it, after having charged me, and still left me with uneven tyre wear !

Agree Andy,years ago I had 4 wheel tracking done I paid £50 the result.....................

 

A complete load of SHITE!,the machine is only as good as the t*sser that operates it:D;)

I go a place in Bolton which is too far for you ;)

 

 

£28 for 4 wheel allignment including, toe in/out, cambre and caster. Its covers you for the first hour. So if you get it all adjusted in the hour its £28. If the caster or cambre needs doing which chauses it to go over the first hour, its £30 a hour after that.

 

Very well worth doing. The car was transformed.
