Do Z's need to run on optimax and or/octane booster?

My bro-in-law is running his jap import on 95RON, ive advised him i think he should use higher octane or and/or octane booster but is that correct?

yes. super unleaded,

optimax is sposed to be the best,

i think some use LRP cuss they think it gives more power,

Old 4 Star used to be 98-100 Ron that is why some people used it but you had to advance the timing to run it safely.

Japanese Imported Zs are designed to run on 100ron which is what they have in Japan. There is no real harm running 95 if the car isnt thrashed. 98 or Optimax will make the car run better and is safer for when you thrash the car a little.

Would optimax be a good idea for a UK TT?

Every 3rd tankful fill with optimax?

Optimax at every fill up for me..............

Wouldn't use anything else.......

:D

My Z deserves the best.

Matty.

Is it a good idea to use Optimax with octane booster, or will that make it too rich?

You wont run rich. Rich is too much fuel not too much OCT.

There is no real need for booster too. If you are doing some dyno or something yeah, but to use it all the time will get expensive and for normal driving it would be wasted IMHO.

Do you think its worth keeping a bottle or two in the boot to use when there's only 95 available?

I RUN MINE ON CHIP OIL:D

Funny you should say that as I am now running optimax and millers octane booster, bought a big box 24 bottles and the car is running fantastic on the two together (MINES ECU) of course this could just be a because of the earthing kit I have just put on at the same time.
