Boost all over show

My mate has now just got one of these motors.

A UK TT with 120k on the clock. At tickover where as my boost guage sit very low (towards -14), his sits at 0 - bang straight.

when he boots it apparently it goes off the boost guage. Any ideas

    Is this the stock gauge?

     

     

    There is an adjusting screw on the dial itself which changes the scale of it. May be its been moved.
