ive seen R34 starting at 30k i think another couple of years and they will be seen at 25k especially when the price in japan drops.

The problem with the westfield and classic stuff and even TVR's to some extent is most of the people i know who bought them said its fantastic at first but the novelty soon wears off when your getting cold, deafened and shaken to bits, which is fine if you only want a sunny weekend car. Still think the R33 is the best bang for buck at that price though, TOTB proves it again and again.

hmm, ive seen an R34 go in japan for 15k, that was a mint 2001 example with mild mods. 30k seems very expensive.

Dont forget the R34 came in NA and GTS versions too. You can get a R34 GTS for about £10,000.

If it was real choice I'd be quite tempted by a Cerbera or with a Lotus Espirit - just for a short while.

But if you then started to think well lets go for a 2+2 with a sensible boot - what is there out there??? Very little.

 

Well it is now absolutely academic - as the wife has decided against changing her Supra TT, instead she's going to start modding it, bodykit + custom respray, new interior, zorst, induct, and chip. So that's that one settled.

We did look at the Cerbera - and she liked it but it was very cramped inside and she's a long legged blonde!!!

I am always checking the Auctions, and have never seen a R34 GTR for that money. Plenty of GTS Type M's which some have the GTR bodykit and wheels, but never a R34 GTR.

£20,000 just ain't enough for something real tasty and Skylines don't appeal to me. Almost bought a Midnight Purple R33 GTR. It might sound daft but, the power and handling seemed too comfortable. Not exciting enough. You just went faster and faster into corners trying to reach arse twitching speed. The handling is too good to have fun.

 

Might trade mine and wifes car in + £20,000 for a Noble GTO 3. Had a go in a GTO 2 at Brans last year great fun car and cumfy.:D :D

Noble's what I'm after next. The Z's just too lardy to ever be a really great handler.

Might take a while to save though :cry:

Have you actually seen one? How can I describe it? err, a kit car with lots and lots of added on bits. The design is not a very coheorant one IMHO. Far from a thing of beauty.

it was on http://www.tau-net.co.jp a while back, 'for sale to japanese customer only' though. Theres a nice looking R33 vspec on there currently iirc. Remember though you are looking at at LEAST 30% on top of the price of the car to get it on the roads in the UK.

I think I have seen the Skyline you where on about Clarkey.

 

It had a lot of damage to it. It didnt look like it from the pics, but there is a link at the bottom of the page which had the damage. It needed jugging as both the front and rear wheels where pushed in.

 

It was close to being scrap chassis wise.

£20k? Best Silver manual from J-land I can afford!

 

(or maybe a gunmetal one. Or that yellow looks nice. Or what about that purple? :D )

Lol, I can see what you mean, but I actually quite like it other than the back end.

Just get a bit frustrated with the ZX sometimes. Don't get me wrong it still puts a smile on my face every time I drive it, but you're just always aware of the momentum when you're trying to change direction quickly.

nah it was deffinatly undamaged, but i have seen the one you are on about too.
