I remove the fuel pump fuse from the engoine compartment fuse box, ran the engine to run it out of fuel so I could disconnect fuel lines, engine runs forever? how long does it take to run it out of fuel ?

Thanks

Should only run for a couple of seconds at most, if it even starts.

Funny this happened on mine and I thought it had been bypassed for some reason (immobiliser?) but when I tried it again a few months later to install fuel filter and braided kit it stalled straight way as it should

Got the right fuse? ;)

Pete,

It maybe my Toad immobiser then, mine ran for several minutes, I finally gave up and switched off.

I broke the clear plastic cover from the top of the 30 amp fuel pump fuse. It still works, but I want to replace it, is it a Nissan only part, or can I get it from somewhere else.

Thanks

I think they're the universal ones (anyone confirm?), if so they cost 50p'ish each from any motor factors or most petrol stations.

Its like a square cube thing, not the usual blade fuse.

I can try Halfords I guess, I dont recall seeing anything like this anywhere.

From nissan they aint cheap - around £8 I think.....but they always have them in stock....Never seen any in Halfords.

Yes Bilky,

they appear to be a Nissan "fusible link" £10 each.

I dont understand the difference between a fusible link and a fuse, except 20 times the price!
