1st of the New Year and the first problem !!

Out for a blast this morning and the speedo jumps from 70 mph (ish) to off the clock at 200mph and stays there. Even when stopped or switched off.

Any clues guys ?

Much appreciated.

Mark

Mines done this on occasion - I think what happens is the speedo spikes and then doesnt get reset back down so just sticks over on the right - the only way mine reset wast o keep driving it and it would drop back eventually. I think its a speed sensor problem

Thanks for that.

I'll leave it in the garage for a couple of days. Hopefully it's sort itself.

Marky -

Yep it's a speed sensor issue - a common problem among zeds, usually more pronounced during the winter months. The other main symptom is the power steering sometimes going heavy or light (because it's speed-variable and governed by the signals the sensor is giving).

A lotta people reckon you can just clean the sensor, or replace just the worn cog(?)

I must admit I haven't got round to doing mine yet...
