Hi,

First of all HAPPY NEW YEAR

Secondly, I saw this car in the ad's at piston heads:

Pistonheads Link

I asked the bloke a few questions, e.g. what miles, why selling and what parts replaced. Seems pretty descent, and I have only seen 2 private sellers selling less than £4,000 (in about 6 months) - so not too sure, as I generally expect descent UK ones to be around the £5K mark.

Is this too good to be true?

Looks ok,all standard except wheels, worth viewing at the price but i would go over it with a fine tooth combe if i were you ,get it hot and take it for a good run, check boost levels, really open it up,let it tickover for 10 mins ,check for blue smoke, check exhaust out as its a original system and may be due for renewing, all electrics of course, check steering not pulling etc, check for oil leaks, you will find a few small probs maybe, but if in genral all ok then its up to you,but i would put aside some money if i was you to sort probs that probably will occur first couple months,if you areafter a good cared for TT Z there are a few for sale on the forum, would be better to spend more and get a Z off here,Tony:)

Cheers for that - will keep in mind,

Just had a closer look at the interior pic, and can see its a auto, which is probally why its slightly cheaper than I thought. Anyway, I'm after a manual, and i'd struggle to find the insurance money if I bought it now.

I'm not aware that there is a price difference between man/auto.

Geoff.

No nor am I  However autos cost £2.5k more when new

Gotidude - mine's for sale :)

Pete
