Hi Guys

 

Just thought id give a update on my car. I finally drove it to the bodyshop today for it to be prep'd. OMG the attention it was getting as i was driving. People where just gazing and trying to figure out what it was. I didnt really push it as the car is really low so that the bodyshop can cut the inner arches as much as possible.

After this, time to sort out the engine and make it work like new and give it a clean bill of health. Then back to be sprayed and that should be it. Where looking at Mid Feb it seems to get longer and longer.

There are a few bits that need some attention but will be sorted in the bodyshop.

Fas what rear bumper is that,and what are them scoops on your bonnet off?

That is coming on a treat - I just hope that you will be putting on a rear skin.

Mac the scoops are custom jobbies. Ill ask K next time im there. The big 1 in the middle is also a custom jobbie. Im gonna ask K.

 

The rear bumper is from a Wings West Kit made for another make of car, he has customised it to fit the Zed (im not really sure, but i think it is)

 

The little spikes at the bottom are gonna be in carbon fibre. So is my rear spoiler which is costing me a fortune. Its gonna be resprayed in yellow. The front bonnet vent is gonna also have carbon hopefully running through the middle of the scoop to give it the colour scheme of the late model Honda NSX's. Everything is wait till it happens and if it works we will keep it.

 

Lambo doors might not happen as the hinges on order are having problems supporting the Zeds heavy doors. But the way the car is going its not gonna upset me to much if i dont get them done.

Cos not trying to act stupid but whats a rear skin. Is that to protect the rear bumper from scraping. If so then the car is gonne be alot higher than shown. Once the work is done. Physically its been dropped to the ground. Itll be highered about a inch after the work is all done.:D

Ahh yeh, yep iv got 1, its gonna be fitted when the tailgate tub is put on. Where actually gonna strengthen the tub as it flexes like a cardboard sheet. So it is pretty solid when fitted.

 

Its about waiting now and c what happens.

Haha i do have digi cam and a very good1 but my mates borrowing it and the toss*r aint gave it back yet. So im always having to use the 1 on my phone SORRY

The interior is only gonna be done if the lambo door conversion doesint happen. Right now there checking things here and there and testing them out on other cars.

If it happens then no interior till summer. If it dont then interior will be done and in full yellow cowhide everywhere.

Dont ask mate, its all about the subtraction and the muliplication by adding the dividing factor and then adding that to the BHP figure and there u get how much iv spent on the car.:D :D :D

 

Nah in serious with the respray, Alloys, Exhaust, Engine Overhaul, Suspension, Bodykit, Carbon Spoiler (£800+) and all parts and Labour. Im roughly looking about £12,000+ for everything but that dont include the lambo conversion as where not sure yet if it happens but that money will be spent on leather anyway if it does'int go ahead. Fu*kin Hell Man £12,000+ am i mad :confused: :eek:

 

Thats not to bad for a student tosser is it, but im in some heavy debt after this is all done where taking ££££ so any charitable money should be sent to the Faisal Relief Fund

 

I keep mentioning it but no1 sends any money :rolleyes: :rofl:

Still like the wheels, but i must be getting old because i think it looked better before!!:p i guess i just prefer a car to look like it was meant to, some body mods look good but i think too many ruin the car. Still major respect for doing it though fas it takes guts to let someone loose with a grinder to your zed for all the custom mods.

 

Saying that i think it needs to be seen when finished before final opinions!!

 

I think i will go back to school and give my job up so i can afford to complete my zed;) :rofl:

Yes Kirbz student life is the way, laze about, perv on nice girls, and do absolutely fu*k all. Though when the Zed comes out i can see the faces that im gonna be getting when i pull up at uni (cant wait)
