steering goes heavy at anytime then back to normal

worrying at any speed

catches you unawares

is it the speed sensor and does it take much work to get it off

will i lose all the power steering fluid when i take it off.

can they be fixed or do i replace them whole

how much ?

89 non turbo import.

Featured Replies

I dont know if turbo and non-turbo have different ones.

They are about £100.

You wont lose any steering fluid. The reason the steering goes hard is the power steering is speed related and so gets harder the faster you go. When the speed sensor stops working the power steering keeps turning off.

Quite easy to replace I hear.
