i asked, and they didnt want sport 650's....

 

they were into the pistons, until i said they were for the car :)

PS. Insurance co has given go ahead for repairs. 6-8 delivery on front fasia. Nagotiating other options with them at the moment. Any ideas folk?

Hey Craig, that's exactly the setup that I'll be getting.

Can you tell me where did you get them and how much were they?

 

One more thing that I'm uncertain of is what type of springs

do I have to order. As we all know they don't have 2+2 TT in the US

so the TT springs and shocks over there are for the 2+0 TT.

Do they fit a 2+2 TT??

i got mine through "got rice ?" on ttnet.

His prices were cheaper than going direct.

 

As far as i know, he has got the right ones for my model. At least, i told him i had a 2+2TT :)

 

The shocks were $95 each as a set, and the springs were $225 the set. So $605 total.

 

Although the shipping cost was ~$200 or so. It weighs about 20kg....

 

They took about 2 weeks by normal post, as a courier would have been ~$300.

i think he will do it whichever way you think is best for your country, but you would need to check it out with him.

 

Hopefully, if i can find my digital camera, then i will take lots of pics during the install.

Um, Barbie please Craig LOL. Although I would prefer a new set of blowers and forged pistons.

 

PS. They won't just give me the money. I need to look at other fasia kits that are easily available. Like, not 6-8 weeks waiting time.

Good call on the new springs and Shox bud, Hope the install goes well, Im sure the Spring to the eye ball homer Simpson style will be avoided hehe.

have you had a look at the Stealin GTZ-r facia, V nice IMO, also the wings west one that SteveE has is similar and equally attractive and is available from suppliers over here so astronomical shipping can be avoided.

The Wings West kit is available for $550 plus shipping. The shipping was going to work out at like $250. I am sure that you could get it invoiced as just the front and get the whole kit for less than the other front end is going to cost from Japan. The kit was going to be shipped direct from WingsWest to Heathrow. I often import large computer equipment from the US and would guess it will probably take around a week to get here.

I'm going to be getting one at some point, but I'm waiting for the Poly Urethane bumper to become available from WW.

well, they are all on, and damn is it harder than before, but then again, all the old shocks were completely knackered.
