recommendation

Can anyone recommend a decent sub box that would fit in the boot. I need to be able to store the T-Tops too. These boots are far too shallow. I have found a JBL Bass tube but it is 33CM high and causes the rear parcel shelf cloth to stick up, showing theres something in the boot. Not only that its that bloody long I cant fit me T Tops in.

I spose I can get a custom made one but I didnt know if anyoine here had bought one and could recommend a model.

hi mate, I have the 600 watt active sub in my boot.

If you remove the passenger side polystrene tray and modify the tye down mount a little (sticks up to far), the sub will nearly sit on the boot floor (on top of the boot carpet) and you can then shut the boot and you can have your blind closed.

you do still have a very slight bulge in the blind but hardly noticable.

I made a pair of boxes which fit diagonally across the rear end. I made them to measure and so they fit perfectly (almost as if they have been there since leaving the factory!) They cost me about £20 for the MDF and maybe £15 for the carpeting. As long as you're reasonably confident with powertools it's really easy and you end up with something tailor-made rather than just a box taking up too much space. I fitted a pair of JBL GT3-10 subs (semi-competition 1,200 watts, even though they are officially 300w or something) which sound awesome. They are quite cheap now at about £48 each. If you want the design or pics let me know.

No probs. If you want to know how to build them let me know and I'll make up a word doc with pictures and dimensions etc.
