Hi all, i have just purchased a '92 300tt and am looking to start modding it.

My mate owns a supra and has a kakimoto exhaust, this sounds awesome!!!, i was wondering if any of you people know if they do one for the 300 and where i can get it? i've searched high and low but can't find one anywhere!

Thx peeps :)

 A new 300 owner :)

You dont need an exhaust like that. The V6 sounds 10 times better than a Straight 6. Anything loud that emphersises the V6 will do.

Thanks, i suppose really im just after 5 or 6" tips hehe, somthing that looks nice :)

^^ checks out sites in trade bit:D

First mod should be intake!

Apexi is the one to get.

Then see zcentre for ss exhaust.

Or me ;)

Hi,

My missus has a kakimoto on her Z (or at least I think it's a kakimoto) listen here

Why dont you try a powerflow exhaust, there well built and you can have pretty much any design you want and they are cheaper than most aftermarket exhausts and come with a lifetime guarantee.....cant go wrong;)

I went to powerflow in st albans and to be honest they where quite restrictive on what i could have and couldint. They where also quite steep for a custom jobbie. They wouldint go higher than 2.5" bore and for me to get a 6" tip it would cost me even more. I went to predator and they machine bend most of the pipework meaning less welds which is better. They gave me a better price than powerflow and the owner has a nismo tuned 300zx which is crazy. He also has a selection of tips.

Fas,

I phoned the powerflow in st Albans, they wanted £550. Was your exhaust from predator any cheaper? What exhaust did you you go for?

Alastair.

Basically Jaz the main guy in the st albans branch has done alot of cars for my bodyshop guy K. I was told he would look after me. But his price seemed steep.

I wanted a 3" bored exhaust but they could only do 2.5" so i said ok to that in the end. Then i said i want a straight through pipe from the turbos all the way through to the tips. He said that for me to get 6" tips he would have to charge me extra. His price was hitting over £800 and i realised no point. Also they weld alot of their pipes and iv heard there welding sometimes aint up to scratch and iv heard this from previous customers of theirs.

Predator said they could do 3" bore for me but when we stuck the car on the ramp the pipework stuck out of the underneath of the car due to the size of the pipes and my car is low 2 so in the end i had no choice but to go for 2.5" theyre giving me exactly what i want as i had previously mentioned. Also they bend all there pipework which helps as there is less welding involved meaning less to go wrong on ur car. He charged me £700 all in starting from the turbos. Hes got a nismo zx 2 which is even better coz he knows them well.

Let me know ill try and pop down with you and maybe if we get it done 2gether he'll give us a better price. Who knows.

But from what iv seen i think predator are better.

Fas

Fas,

you have to remember that powerflow is a consession so its down to the garage how good they are, in my experience my local garage are excellent and i have no complaints, i had a twin 4.5 inch and it cost me £300 and he quoted me £150-200 for the down pipes so i think your guy near you was wanting to make a little extra this christmas;)

Kirbz

Im not saying theyre bad just that round my local area powerflow seem to be a bit expensive and try to get as much money out of you as they can.

Also iv actually seen some their work and on bends they tend to weld. Where predator mandrel bend the pipework to give a smooth flow without the use of welding.

But hey your guys might have been different. ;)

Whereabouts are predator based?

In welwyn gardens in hertfordshire. Not that far. Tanzx got his exhaust done from them and hes always going on about how good they are. Hes the 1 to ask as hes actually been dealt by them, whereas im still waiting to get it sorted out.

Hi Fas

Do you know if they would be able to make just the rear boxes? Do you also have a number for Predator - can't seem to find them on the net!

Thanks

Ch

Thanks very much Rich - I'll call them tomorrow!
