Haven't been on much recently so this may of been mentioned before.

 

I was speaking to Luke at the Z Centre the other day and he said 3 wide arch Z's were over from Ireland and they call themselves "Steer from the rear". They appear at shows doing doughnuts etc. They have custom paint jobs etc.

Luke said they were due to be filmed this week and he said on Top Gear this sunday but that seems a little soon to me. Anyway, I will be checking and I thought I'd tell you lot too.

does seem a bit quick to appear on Topgear, but I'll certainly watch out for 'em...:dance: :slap:

these guys are from the north of ireland and i have senn them in action a couple of times at shows yes they are called steer from the rear i was talking to them at a show in dublin a week after i got my car just asked them to have a look at it and give me an opinion they said it was a sweet motor i think they hace 6 or 7 300s between them the ones they use for shows are stripped out and it would make you cry when you see what they do to them they shred the tyres off and give them fair abuse however its good fun thaks for that i will be watching sunday as i said before james you are a font of info

yeah i saw them at max power live last year...a zed and two beemers :rolleyes:

I'm on the hunt for an unmodified MANUAL 300ZX to come to the Top Gear show next Wednesday to decide which is faster - that or the new 350Z.

What's the sudden interest from Topgear?

 

Had some free tickets to see the MPH 2003 show at Earls Court today hosted by the Topgear/5th gear team. Some very nice cars on display and the ONLY Jap cars on show - a 900BHP Skyline, a 200+BHP Micra and a few 350Z's. Old Clarkson also paraded the entire Zed range from the early 200's through to the current 350, including our beloved 300ZX:)

 

Like I said, not sure why the current interest, but nice to the see the ZED receiving some attention.

I've hurd a rumour that JC hates the z, so i think he just wants to slag our pride and joy on national tv. And even if i had a std z i wouln't let JC drive my 25yr old tortis he has got no respect for any ones pride and joy, but i still watch his show from time to time:o :slap:

That's exactly what I thought Deon. But surprisingly, he was complimentary about the Zed at the show!!!

prat head jc likes the Z32 but hates every other Z except for the 240Z this includes the 350Z makes you wonder why Top Gear is doing a comparison between the Z32 and the 350Z

 

wonder if it is because prathead was not allowed to comment on the whole fairlady series at the MPH show this weekend and it is his way of getting his own back

 

think all Z owners should be gratefull to the launch of the 350Z as doubt if the whole range would have got as much recent media coverage if the car never came out

Sorry i missed the show of the sentury when JC actually comlimented the ZED no wonder the weather is bad this week.

Still a good program though. (Idid not say that it just came out)
