Well, I've replaced the two stubby hoses at the front of the engine which were leaking, I've replaced the upper and lower main hoses, I've replaced the radiator and cap and everything has been going fine for a few weeks........until this morning!

Sitting in traffic on the usual crawl into work, the temp gague went shooting up and I pulled over. Steam pouring from the rear of the engine bay, constant drip drip on the floor at the back of the engine.

I've done a search and found that Fas has had a similar problem, but nothing about where the best place for the replacement hoses are. (also seems to be some doubt of whether there are 6 or 8 hoses)

Any ideas as to where/how much?

I got a leak down there, it could be either of the 2 hoses to/from the heater, not expensive (£15 from Nissan each) but a pain to get to.

You should be able to see them both, when the steam clears.

Or one of the 6/8 hoses, which I've also had a leak from lol but Jeff sorted that by simple tightening of jubilee clips from under the car I think :)

Cheers Pete! I'll get my mechanic to take a look and identify which it is before I order new ones.:)

Hiya mate

Stop complaining about about grid locked Hell coz uv just arrived at a place far worser.

There are about 17 turbo by pass hoses in a TT engine plus 2 medium sized 1s for the heater matrix plus any large radiater pipes.

I got a full kit from courtesy for the Turbo by pass hoses. For them to get done iv been told you need to remove the plenum. Can be done by a good mechanic. MAC seems to know about it as he advised me on what to do. Replace them all as what will happen as 1 burst and you replace it another month down the line another will burst and ull end up doing this for ever.

Let me know if you need any more info

What, worse than being sandwiched between the A4/M4 at Heathrow, and the A40 at Target Roundabout!!?!?!? That MUST be a car park then!

17 hoses!!? Jeeeeeeeeeeeez! My mechanic chappy's gonna be busy!

Do you remember what sort of cost it came to?

Cheers mate!

Well all 17 hoses from courtesy come to about $130 not sure, but the job itself im not sure how long it takes ask duffer, jeff or one of the other mechanics on this forum what kind of time ur looking at. Or ask mac coz he should know as he got his done and i think hes even got pics.

Any thing else let me know.
