How does the Hicas work when sitting still with full lock on i can not see the rear wheels turn so could you please describe what it does. Also im having problems with my power steering and as they work on same fluid and off same pump could this be affecting it please see my other post on that for help

HICAS only works when the car is in motion. Between 5 and 30mph it turns the rear wheels in the opposite direction to the front wheels (ie, tighter turning circle ;) ; Above 30mph it initially steers in the opposite direction to the front and then in the same direction. This is supposedly to aid stability when changing lane, etc.

 

Now, don't quote me on the actual mph figures as this is off the top of my head and may be incorrect.

I thought only the Honda system tightened your turning cirle - Super HICAS just countersteers momentarily at high speed to improve turn in??

You can do the HICAS diagnostic to see the wheels move and check all is well.

Do a search.

You can easliy see the wheels turning when you run the HICAS diag.
