hi aim very new to turbo cars and the 300zx iam looking to modify the engine a little just need advice whats best way to start?

iam not after mad power just simple as iam more into styling more.

ive got a full ss exhaust fitted+,filter, turbo timer on its way, i want some bovs, whats best to get next ????

boost controller and chip ;)

iam bidding on a boost contoler on e-bay so might be having one of these whats best chip to get and price???? who much is fitting a chip??

The most common chips around here are SE and JWT, there are also Mines and some others knocking around.

 

If you buy them new from the manufacturer they are bloody expensive (£3-400 IIRC)

 

You may pick one up second hand (AndyZ in the traders section often has chips), or a couple of forum members have produced their own ;) and may help you if you ask nicely :)

 

You will need to get it socketed in your ECU which, unless you're a dab hand with a soldiering iron, is not worth risking yourself.

 

Do a search for "chip", "JWT", "Mines" etc...
