I thought it was Japan 280PS (Because of the agreement) and 300 for the UK and US.

Stuart

UK/Europe and Japan 282bhp

US spec 300bhp manual, 280bhp auto (although apparently the auto is faster 0 - 100)

so what differences are there to give the extra power???

AFAIK, all cars leaving japan have to meet the "agreed" 280bhp limit.

i suspect its just the yanks rounding up! ;)

Thats just for the domestic market.... remember the uk supra's got 330 bhp stock, and the jap one has 276...

Also what they are "supposed" to have can be different from what they do have, with ref to the jap agreed limit

...and I thought the 280 limit was set in Japan around 1992, so that earlier cars were the same as the 300bhp exports???

...but it doesn't really matter if you're going to tweek it anyway does it!?

I had a 90 UK manual a few years back and have recently got a 92 jap import Auto and frankly i cant tell the difference if there is one.

ive had both and thats what i thought.
