Hi Jim

Not wishing to alarm you in anyway.

I have TT Auto mine changes up no probs,

sorry not much help.

Wouldn't have thought it would go into 4th until about 40mph, or maybe a shade more... could that be it?

Hopefully they also have a bit of logic to try and guess if you're going to -stay- above 40 so you'd need to cruise for a while first?

I know on my journey to work I'm lucky to get out of 2nd until 20 mins in...

This is normal - the box wont change up into the final gear until its warmed up enough - its a safety feature of the box. 15 mins sounds about right - its the same for mine.

thanks for the replie bilky

cheers...

jim.

Same for my one too! I doesn't properly engage overdrive until the engine has a bit of warmth, or unless you are doing about 50mph, and ease off on the gas, then it does go in. Once the temp needle has started to move, and the air-con is kicking in, its fine.:)

Can also confirm nothing to worry about, not supposed to go into top until engine has reached a certain temp, mine takes about 5 mins.
