drove car 50miles to work today, sweet as ever, switched off engine & tried to restart but it wouldnt fire. eventually called out breakdown.he said engine flooded & managed to start it by taking out fuel pump fuse, turning engine over & then quickly puttin fuse in.

car ran rough to start hesitating when accelerating but after bout 20 miles seemed fine. went out again tonight (to pub),started and ran fine but then wouldn't start again to come home. used same method as b4 to eventualy start it(took bloody long time), same as b4 hesitant on acceleration but fine apart from that.

any ideas on this please, was meant to b taking Z cross channel on saturday, me thinks not now:( :(

cheers

p.s. not had chance to run diagnostic yet

Sounds a bit like the PTU to me. Definitely could do with seeing the output of the diagnostic though.

does this mean that ptu not faulty or could it still be even though diagnostics ok?
