Are Jap & UK spec brakes the same size?

Please can anyone tell me- Are the brake discs on Jap spec cars identical to UK spec cars?

    errr not strictly true... i've been led to believe by a very reliable source that the back ones are different. Something to do with the depth of the bell i think.

    Pre-'91 NA discs are thinner! Otherwise all models are the same (I think.)

     

    I've seen several discussions on this and the consensus seems to be if you've got a Series I NA just put an upgrade on and save yourself the hassle. :D

     

    God knows why they did that, it's not like you want the NA to take longer to STOP, is it?

     

    It's a bit lighter I suppose...
