What's best, RWD FWD or 4WD?

With the recent rivalry on here from GTO and Rover lot I thought I would mention an old episode of Top Gear where this was put to the test. Anyone remember it?

Basically to see which had safest handling Tiff & co placed stuffed animals on a blind bend of a track, then drove round the bend at high speed (60mph - A road speed) so the driver would see them at the last minute and have to brake/steer round them without hitting anything or losing control of the car.

Cars chosen RWD= BMW 323i

FWD=Alfa 156 2.5V6

4WD=Audi A4 2.6 (I think, can't remember exactly)

And the safest, most predictable was...........

........surprised me, as I would have expected 4X4, was actually rear wheel drive!!!!!!!!!:D

Well, I suppose the supercar manufacturers - Lambo, Ferrari, Aston, Jag etc can't all be wrong:dance:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

HHHmmmm

(depending on the car) say all got 200bhp

FWD = Understeer. Boring

4WD = Controlled under/oversteer. Not so boring

RWD = FUN FUN FUN

:D :D :D :D
