OK - you must all have laughed when I tried to turn the radio down using the air handling pod... :p

However out again today in a very hopeful contender, right colour, right spec and standard (not tuned er... yet).

At the start of the test drive the inducators went U/S - garage chap said it was the hazard switch happened a lot and would of course be fixed. Ten minutes into the test drive the speedo failed (ahh thinks I the speed sensor has faulted) then about two minutes later the HCAS light came on. The auto box was a bit jerky initially but that smoothed out. And I got to light up the turbos but only briefly as the road seemed to run out rapidly.

OK todays questions...

No speedo reading = failed speed sensor?

Failed speed sensor = HICAS faulted light?

Boost gauge swung right over to the right so it's not in safety boost?

The car has 54,000 miles on it - the cam belt is done at 60,000 0- right and that is miles not an age related change?

It let me knock more money off the forecourt price and it will all be fixed prior to the handover, and then there is a six month mechanical parts and labour warranty good for anywhere in the UK.

  GOOD LORD I'VE BOUGHT A 300ZX TT. Don't tell the boss. :slap:

...seems that all Jap imports have about 54 thousand miles on their clocks - beware...

Sure have James - it's a reputable dealer though and the warranty should hold good for anyting falling off in the first six months. After which I'm on my own - and I've stacked a couple of K into an "ahh bugger fund",

Why do you ask?

I like the "oh bugger fund" - but hope you never need it.

I was just going to say about the faults you found and the promise of them being fixed.......Actually ask what the faults were and what they did to rectify them.

Other than that get the cam belt done for piece of mind and good luck. (oil change would be good too)

:D

Now we just need some pics!

Well that makes sense even to me. I shall ask but I fear it will be a case of "We cleaned the contacts matey - now get it off our forecourt."

Well Barry hope it's agood buy. From which dealer did you buy it?

Geoff.
