Yeah I have seen Kill Bill.

Terrible film. I wont be watching the conclusion.

Myself and two others watched it tonight and thought it was excellent!

Slight anomoly with the Z though - when U.T is talking down to 'you know who' (so I don't spoilt it for the rest) in the boot of the Z - you can tell its not the Z anymore - Z boots don't have hatchback-style overhangs.

What!?! Not enough fluffy kittens in it for you, I suppose you would rather watch Dirty Dancing

I thought it was crazy in a good way!:D I was laughing most the way through but i dont think it was a film taking itself seriously!

I really liked it. Maybe alot of people will go on the strength of it being a Tarentino film - and thats no bad thing. But this is more of a martial arts film..........and I love all the old ninja films!

I dunno why but I really liked the bit where U.T blinked and it went from black and white back to colour. Thought the cartoon bit was good too.

a quick question about auto boxes....how do they work? whats the best gear to drive in and when should i use the O/D,power and hold? what do they all actually mean? sorry to hijack

not seen the film, but the revs rise/fall can be caused by a bad temperautre sensor harness connection.

Hi Clarkey

Where would the harness sensor be located?

Arthur

on the fronttop water pipe (aluminium one), theres 2 sensors on it, one for the dash gauge and one for the ECU, you want the one for the ECU, it has a yellow connector, give it a good clean up.

Or if you're not sure about it -then replace it. They are not expensive, get the harness aswell. I say this every time - you would not believe how much this little sucker is responsible for!

No. I just thought the story line was poor, the fight scenes got boring and drawn out too long. The Cinematography was clever in places but just so copy cat in others.

The Manga style part was very good.

The blood part was slightly funny the first time round. Pushing the idea too far, 3rd time was getting boring, 4th time he was just trying to pad out time.

Also I am amazed that people thing it is a good film because of red coloured water squirted from behind some one. If everything remained the same but there was no blood, people would think it was a crap film. Its a crap film regardless whether it did or didnt have blood gushing.

Stuart

The amount of blood was insignificant to me.

Not sure why you think people liked it because of that?

I agree with your comments about it tbh, 4th time around was a bit much.

It was Hurman's hinting that there was too much blood for me. It wasnt the fact there was too much blood that made me not like it. It was predictable, a very recycled storyline, Fight scenes where boring and didnt show anything I hadnt seen before. QT tried to bounch the storyline round like he usually does but this time it was boring and not clever like his other films.

I think it hit the genres very well, a bit 70's kung-fu, Western movie, Exploitation, Anime... All in all very enjoyable when compared with the usual formulaic cr@p you see in the cinema's, this is why I think people didn't like the Matrix Films, because they were not conventional, you weren't spoon fed the plot, you had to think.

It's a cool film in my book, but then I'm a big fan of the whole Anime / Asian horror genre.

:D

Not seen the film:rolleyes:

For your autobox - could it be the lock-up kicking in and out (affects rpm by a few hundred). Lock-up is dependent on throttle position, speed, etc. and can go in/out as you drive, especially if you are changing speed (fast - as you do!). For instance, lock-up drops out if you lift off the throttle (IIRC).

Overdrive would give larger RPM changes than lock-up - afterall its the same as another gear (in effect).

May not be anything to worry about.

Hi Stuart

Your discription fits thanks.

Will check the other things too.

Will go to see Kill Bill 2, cos is it a boy or a girl or an alien?

Arthur

IMO Kill Bill is so much of a black comedy that the finer details shouldn't be questioned. for example:

1. Blood that looks like water, rather than the thick gloopy stuff it really is

2. The Kung-fu scenes that feature manoeuvres that are quick-frankly impossible, but are most amusing :)

....

I think too many expect films to feature the same laws of physics, etc as the 'real world' this is certainly something that needs to be ignored.

just my 2p anyway :)

Simon.

Yes Simon

Wise words! lets not forget after all, its only entertainment!

Nobody believes all that stuff is for REAL?

Only people who watch the TV soaps live in the REAL world!FFS!

I do not watch TV soaps.

Do not believe in Aliens or Ghosts, just hates & fears.
