Do you think my car will be now. Due to land in Southampton 2 weeks on Thursday i'm wondering how far away from port she will be now.

2 weeks sailing time aint that long in boat terms, i was thinking she'd be around South Africa way what do you think ?

:D i wish

Its about 8000miles away I reckon. Thats closer than round the bottom of Africa.

8000 miles is a long way, how far is SA ?

8000 miles is if it travels at a constent speed for 2 weeks. It probably a lot closer, and it may take a stop before it gets here.

If you look at a world map its got a long way to travel around Portugal, spain and Africa. In a straight line its probably closer than you think.

I think she'll be around the Congo

Do do do come on and do the Congo

I'd guess somewhere off the coast of Senegall assuming it will take a day or so to unload and clear customs. ;)

Actually if the ship went throught the Sewz Canal it takes tens of thousands of miles off the trip. It could be in the med right now.

Good point Captain ;) can you track ships online ?

I had heard that a ship carrying a blue nissan 300zx has gone the wrong way and now the ship is pulling to the left due to a suspension fault...

Apparently he's been round tasmania 212 times so far:D

Kirbz

Dont know. There will be stations all around the world which can track ships positions, but I doubt they will release it onto the net unless it was a "gimik" one company uses on their web site.

Do you have the name of the ship or the company who runs it?

If you are brave enough, phone that number, its the english number of the company who own the boat, they probably won't give out the info though unless you can proove you need it.

It may get nicked by a pirate ship

have u got it insured ?

When I imported mine with Newera the shipping company had an online tracking facility which was handy! Mind you, didn't stop me worrying like hell for the entire time it was negotiating the seven seas. Also while I twiddled my thumbs and waited, my mates took great pleasure in mentioning that cargo ship that went down carrying those performance cars...again ...and again...and again...the b*stards...;)

Hi

I went to the cinema tonight to see KILL BILL!

Think I saw a blue ZX on film was it yours?

Nobody mentioned it before!

It could still be in Japan for filming KILL BILL 2!
