u need an old bottle of fairy liquid, and an old washing powder box, used with a little double sided tape and paper mache and you too can have a bumper like mine

cheers macca,

have to wait till the skin on my knuckles grow back till i get to drive it :D

m old bumpers are in the for sale section if anyone is intrested,

i did like the zed in standard form but when i saw this kit is wasnt going to stay standard for long!!

ive been thinking about getting an old zed 32 and trying to make it look like a lambo with loads of fiberglass rather like the mr2 ferrari kit,

what do u think paul

might be a bad idea though!!

Arghhh.... Horror!!! LOL:D

Joking apart, is yours a UK model??, just wondering as these seem to go at the rear sills.

When you've repaired the sills are you fitting side skirts??

Looks like it'll be nice job when done (although I strongly prefer stock look, each to their own!!)

yep its a uk model, i was speaking to mike at mjp auto and i think he said that the uk spec had no rust protection on the zed but the jap spec do, or something like that!!

i asked luke at the z center for sill repair panels and he said

because the jap spec are not rusting and only the uk ones are there are not enough of them to start a new market in sill repair panels but will be looking into it in a while!

Give it another 5 years on our shite UK salty roads and us "Jappies" will be needing them too!!!

What is worrying is the apparant lack of any cavity wax in the sills!! I thought most new cars were flooded with this now during production, I must have been spoilt driving Audi's for the last 10 years prior to the zed!!

Paul

Have you made the centre panel a non removable item, if you have how do you clean the air filters?

  • Author

i managed to use the origional braket off the front bumper to hold onto the new air filter panel so it fits just like the origional and is removable,

but you are right in saying that the kit came with 2 bolts that make it imposible to remove without removing the front bumper!!
