You do realise Iain that we are going to get slated for saying this but my car wasnt detting, well not that i could tell and i wasnt running anywhere near 600 bhp but still it broke

Which lead me onto the question again "if your spending £3-5k on new turbos and pulling the engine out why not spend a little more and upgrade the pistons etc

Mike I can HONESTLY say the same!

I suppose it makes sense if you are spending that much on the turbo's, injectors to upgrade the pistons are the same time.

However I personally will be leaving the stock pistons in to test the theroy. ( purely for knowledge of the forum purposes of course ;) )

A little later I will be upgrading the intercoolers, turbo's, injectors, rad, induction and down pipes.

I know my pistons are all good now as they have recently been checked, so I'll do the above and see if the theory of 600BHP on stock pistons is true.

Although Eric said 575 - 600 RWHP maybe that's pushing it a bit too far but hey, If my engine doesn’t go bang with 600BHP after a year I'll try for 600RWHP on stock pistons

Mike,

What is you intercooler then? Make/model/rough price please...

It's a nice bit of kit and got to be better than the pants 2 either side of the main rad!!!

Cheers

Oh Dear never have I read such utter crap:rofl: It's idiots like you that get us 300 boys a bad name

What planet are you on? please tell me you are having a laugh and you are not serious??????

does having such big front mounted intercoolers restrict airflow to the rad?

did you notice any difference in engine temps after fitting mate?

all the best with the projct!:D
