Is this right? my sis found this info that the law now says that the side windows now have to have 70% attenuation!

Yup, 70% is the max tinting. Infact 65% sticks in my ed for some reason too! Mate of mine does this for a living and people who want darker have to sign a waiver as it effectivly makes the windows illegal. They can only make you remove them if they test you at the roadside, as happened here with the iceman. Obviously the novelty of nicking us for speeding is wearing off, so they need some way to nick us whilst crusing (legally) now!!!

Why the phecking numnut plod'eads dont go and nick robbers and propers villians is beyond me!

God only knows m8, prolly cos its easyer to find us then that mugger etc. with us they just have to sit there on there backside, and not haveing to move! or do any real police work! sorry if i offended anyone with that!:D

I am full of questions today. Where did you get your petrol conver conversion done and how many pennies did it cost?.

It's part of the wide arch conversion as the filler needs to be extended out.

 

I think SE do a conversion for the stock car but it involves lots of welding etc and is silly money.

I don't think you every day PC plod has the feintest idea about how dark is legal, or for that matter how the hell you'd measure it on the roadside!

I had my last car tinted in London and Ripspeed staff all had illegally tinted windows and none of them had ever been pulled!

I agree but the Police do have roadside testing kits for this so sooner or later you are bound to get tested.

It would be a nightmare to have it removed and re-tinted :(
