Hello,

On my Jap Auto TT everytime I brake a red lights flashes up bottom left of dash saying "lights" is this normal as all my lights work so does this stop if a bulb is out?? Seems very odd.

Cheers

I thought it was when your brake light are not working the warning will light up.

Have a part of you brake lights been converted into rear fog lights. Would that cause a problem?

Mine does this despite all the lights working fine.

On mine it's because of 2 reversing lights being wired in as rear fogs to comply with UK regs. This somehow upsets the resistance somewhere and means the "lights" light comes on every time you brake/use headlights etc.

Have you had rev lights converted to rear fogs?

I found out when I replaced the dash bulb, which was missing - obviously for this reason...

So the warning light is no use the way it is.

I think the inner right brake has been converted to a fog lamp. I thought it wasnt right.

Not being an expert with wires is this simple to correct or should I get someone to sort it out?

Cheers

Ant

Mine used to be exactly the same, plus i wanted all the brake lights back, so i put the wiring back to stock and added a foldaway fog light for mot time/fog!!
