Brake Squeak????

Hiya all

I've had new disc's and pads fitted all round the've been on about 800 miles so far, I started to get a loud squeak/squel from them under light braking, it's not so bad under heavy braking either, got me confused.

Someting simple? or something serious it's? over too you tech heads

Regards

Usually a smear of copper grease between the pad backing and the piston does the trick.

Interesting, my Diggler Dirk does this sometimes, usually when I've been braking really hard. Horrid noise! You can see small children holding their Britney Spears when it does it...LOL! Which is ace, getting the little brats back for screaming round the supermarket from the time I enter...to the time I leave! Don't people whack their kids anymore...LMAO??? It was good enough for me and my Bro when we were younger...Dad used to give us a right belting!!! Nowadays the kid'll have you in court...WTF???

thats is pad shimmy i think, basicall yht pad is moving around between the caliper and the disc, a little metal plate bhind the brake pad might do the trick

They are supposed to have two shims behind the pads anyway. I make sure that all faces have a smear of copper grease.

You may find some of your brake shimms are missing. I think the nissan shimm kit comes with grease.
