I can suggest 2 but I would be careful putting them on your CD because thay have potential license loosing qualities> whenever I hear them I seem to find myself doing MUCH more speed than I should be doing. They are both by the same artist and are:-

Wake me up and Going under by Evernesance!

When ever I hear them, I can't help turning both loud pedals up!

You have been warned!

Very true Cos they have the same effect on me too!

Eeee, when I were lad..... youth of today, no respect.....where's me Honda Prelude....

Nah mate, it's called taste :D

Not that I have any either, most people find my music quite scary!!!

/Rant mode on/

It's just that I cannot stand any of the R'n'B $hite or any of that Rap B0llox (RUN DMC were ok though :D) To me R'n'B is BB King / John Lee Hooker etc.

I broke my car aerial over a year ago, and haven't bothered replacing it.

Here's a link, be afraid:cool: http://entertainment.msn.com/album/Default.aspx?album=616378

I'm now off to get my pipe and slippers and go collect me pension.

:D

Hmmm, I have one or two to add:

* "Moaner": Underworld

Impossible not to speed when hearing it. Very dangerous on the motorway.

* "Dog in Heat": Missy Elliot

Should also include the intro to the "So Addictive" LP, which merges into this track. Admittedly it should be in a beach jeep, but the Zed'll do.

* "Lapdance": N.E.R.D

Where do all U.S. pop acts currently get their urban gritty production? See above.

* "Guerillas in the mist": Paris

Unreasonably hard-core west-coast socio-political rap. Perfect for Chingford.

* "Number One": Playgroup

Bumpin' disco-funk

* "I against I": Massive Attack feat. Mos Def

From the Blade II soundtrack. Rarely has gloss-black menace been so purely distilled into 16 bars of silky-smooth bass and rhythm. Test your subwoofer using this track.

* "I believe in a thing called love": The Darkness

Mentioned before. Dangerous for air-guitar related loss of car control.

I believe if we add these tracks, we be illin' :p

bloody hell,so many metallers?looks like 80% of z drivers are/were long haired moshers!.....how about.....slayer-angel of death,anthrax-efilnikufesin(n.f.l)???and iron maiden-phantom of the opera....wheres my vinyl!

Sure does, Stevo.....;)

Different music suites different cars IMO, whilst I like soul as well as rock (that's proper soul Marvin Gaye, Luther, Aretha etc not today's 5hite), rock rules:D :D

RnB I think is better suited to "rude Mercs" and kitted BMs. A Zed is a proper mans car and as such I would expect to hear satanic lyrics from a hell spawn car!!!! :D

Keep on rockin'

Richard

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I cant agree more with that last statment!

I'm gon to getcha by Shania Twain!

Geoff.

on the way home from what laughingly passes as work in this neck of the woods I realised that the complete soundtrack (including the chat) from lock stock and two smoking barrels should be on there

This thing about Z owners liking rock music... I wouldn't say I'm totally narrow-minded and /only/ listen to that stuff. But like someone said, a kind of music can suit a car. But also it needs to suit what you're doing in a car. Fas has a point. If you go out cruizing for huneez then stick something appropriate on. That aint what my car's for. It's for going out and pushing hard... less cruise-ship, more stealth fighter ;) If I'm listening to anything other than the engine (which is the best in-car entertainment AFAIC - how sad?) then I want something that's gonna keep my pulse up. For a long, boring trip somewhere, listening to Sepultura for hours on end would probably send you to the loony bin. So I'm thinking, I'd like something a bit less edgy - maybe some Orbital (Walk Now) - something that's gonna last. The radio's for traffic reports. XFM is OK some of the time tho.

Can't believe noone's mentioned any Prodigy - not that I have a specific track in mind.

IMHO (in no particular order):

NIN: The Perfect Drug (Trent Reznor is simply a genius)

Linkin Park: Faint

Idlewild: A Modern Way of Letting Go

Primal Scream: Rocks

The Vines: Get Free

Garbage: Vow

Fischerspooner: Emerge

Depeche Mode: Personal Jesus

Hole: Celebrity Skin

The Pixies: Debaser or possibly Where Is My Mind?

King Adora: Bionic (don't knock 'em they're local;) )

Marilyn Manson: Disposable Teens

Placebo: Nancy Boy

Smashing Pumpkins: Bullet (With Butterfly Wings) (My fav band since I was 15, Billy Corgan is a god in my book)

The Darkness: I Believe In A Thing Called Love

Manic Street Preachers: Motorcycle Emptiness

Kenickie: Come Out 2Nite

The Dandy Warhols: We Used to be Friends

President of The United States of America: Kitty

The Strokes: Take It or Leave It

Prodigy: Funky Sh1t (51x;) )

American Hi-Fi: Black Satellite

Har Mar Superstar: EZ Pass

The Wedding Present: Dalliance

Hell, this is more or less what I've got in the car at the moment anyway! :D Its always either homemade compilations or rough cuts of guitar stuff and assorted beats from the band(s)I`m involved in...always seem to get pretty good ideas driving around...;)

Leigh.

And while we're on the subject of music, can I urge people to download 3 tracks I`ve been completely hooked on recently:

1) Johnny Cash covering NIN's "Hurt" (particularly poignant in light of his passing. Rest in Peace man.)

2)Gary Jules covering an old Tears for Fears song "Mad World" (I know this sounds dodgy but...my God...it's truly the most beautiful piece of music I've ever heard in my life)

and finally, 3) some Nashville Country and Western with a twist...Lambchop doing an amazing cover of The Sisters of Mercy "This Corrosion"...Mmmmm...swampy! :D

Try 'em...you might like 'em!;)

Leigh.

KLF, Spinal Tap ;-),

U2 - Wire

Ultravox - Hymn

Simple Minds - Sanctify Yourself

Joe Jackson - Stepping Out
