Have managed to get an original flare torch as fitted to the two clips in the passeger footwell on Jap imports. Its the type you activate by pulling the top off and laying on the road behind your car if broken down.Has anyone thoughts on the safety of having this clipped in the car?? I am not too sure, seemed a cool idea at firts ...originality etc but well might clip it in , have a normal torch there at the moment which is probably more practical.

Also got a blitz racing boost gauge and Hks boost controller for £40 the pair seems ok eh ?

I found the best use for the holder was to remove it and then use the holes to mount a nokia in-car phone kit loudspeaker biggrin.gif

There is NO way I would have anything like this in my car - imagine it going off at 100mph (Yes -> public roads biggrin.gif)!!!!

Hi,

I had one of these orange flares in my car's footwell for the first 6 months, until I realised what it was!

The wife didn't fancy having her left ankle blown off/incinerated suddenly, on the motorway, so I removed it.

We phoned the local fire brigade to see how to dispose of it.Turns out they are illegal to carry in your car in GB, and are classed as explosives! They recommended phoning the local council, to dispose of it.

In the end I couldn't be bothered with filling in all the forms required...and let it off in the back garden! It was just like a Roman Candle firework, and burnt for about 10 mins.(Should have taken it to Billing this year!)

The smoke did upset the neighbours though! wink.gif

Cool as feck smile.gif

Wondered what the hell that clip was for in my JapskiTT LOL.

Now here is the irony Jeff, it is meant for a distress flare and i mounted my fire extinquisher there instead.

Mad.

And judging by the heat my GReddy twin pipes kick out I think any kind of pyrotechnical launchers are not recommended hehe.

Tho I must admit I like the 'originality' touch m8 smile.gif

If you do get one of these flares, I'd suggest re-routeing your detonation sensor.

Peace.
