Have just been on TurboTechnics website to learn more about Hybrid Turbos. All very impressive but a few questions need answering for dumbo here!

 

When is the best time to have this done in the upgrade process? Say that I am going down this route with my car...

 

Blitz SUS Intake

Blitz RealliZe Cat back exhaust

JWT ECU upgrade

ASP underdrive pulley

 

Brakes and TC etc. etc.

 

So where in amongst this little lot would it be a great idea to off turbos and get them upgraded at somewhere like TurboTechnics???

 

Also, they claim that for our cars and obviously some green you can expect 360+ bhp, is this just the turbos on their own or with other upgrades?

 

Last but not least, without ringing them up, roughly how much to have this done with exchange units e.g. your existing turbos?

that funny i have t28's 555s and the lot.

 

i read standard pistons are good for over 500 bhp.

Yeah, I warmed the engine up well enough before flooring it (I do have some mechanical sympathy!) and didn't hear any detonation but it could've been bad fuel/ignition mapping at high revs (Pete used one of his own ECU's without changing the settings specifically for my engine, he said the settings were about right!) or some problem with the (standard) oil breathing.

 

I'll be a lot more careful next time

lol nope but you will not believe me when i tell you what they did to my speedo....

its not even worht dignifying a responce as to the job they did.

 

 

i mean i already have the speedo conversion done right... so they said i needed to hve it done, so i say ok. then they do the conversion.....(no any idiot would have seen that the conversionj was already done,) but nooooo they decide to do it again...... (they are not even bad liars lol) so now im the only zed with two speedo conversions wired inot one. i mean reallly!!!!!!!

LOL! So you couldn't work that out yourself then? This from the man who is making a technical device that will outperform the Techtom??? Man, come on! MPH or KMH? Hmmmmm, not rocket science is it???

this blitze jobbie i have is amazing. on the boost side of things it igves you a graph of real time boost which is oh so cool.

and yesterday i made a whopping 535 bhp on the powermetre at 1 bar, but im not sure i have it working properly.

I'm hoping the car's going in with Luke in the next few weeks or so, we're just sorting out the finer details. The only bad thing is I'll have to do without the Z for a couple of weeks, but should be wearth it if it's a nice job.

 

The avc-r, well I've got it to boost at around 1 bar (and put a big f'in smile on my face) I'm hoping to be able to turn up at Silverstone in a couple of weeks and question everyone about the rest of the features. Kind of a NASA thing to me!!!!!!

Why would you let them do the conversion if it's already done (unless you don't trust your own judgement)? Sounds like there's more to this story than you're telling, and that maybe you have a grudge against SE for whatever reason.

535bhp on 1bar boost! What engine spec are you running? Definitely sounds like a porkie pie to me ... got any data to back it up ?

Aaaaahhhh wouldent you lot like to know?

 

I have t28 turbos and mines ecu, hks super dragger, hks intake, nismo 555 injectors ,

 

 

lol the speed sensor is not connected properly, it has to be done before any other connection (ie S.e engineerings balls up idea of converting the speedo) so it is reading mixed signals,

my car has made 320wheel bhp on a dyno when i had got it, and that was at stock boost.
