Can anyone help me? i have rececently purchased a 300zxtt, and as much as i love it, the auto gearbox is annoying me. I would like to convert it to manual and would like any advice from anyone who has done it, also any parts for sale would be appreciated too. for reference its a1990, jap import.

I am also on the lookout for a set of 18 inch alloys aswell:confused

Us the search which is one of the blue buttons at the top of the screen. A few people have done this and you may find some post of them doing the job and what was needed. You may also get ideas on costs.

 

AndyZ on this forum, he has his own section, is always breaking a Z or two. He will probably have some or most of the bits you need.

Ben Wagg's done mine and his so he knows what the job involves. I think ChrisC did his own, Luke at the Z centre has also done some.

 

Try to find a complete car (with good box!) that's being broken and get all the donor parts from one vehicle. Parts have to be carefully removed (not cut) - especially hoses, wiring, switches etc as they are seemingly less important but make a massive difference to cost if you need to buy them new to finish the job - a real problem to find some bits second hand if you can't get them all at the same time.

 

You're prob looking at £1K if you can DIY with 2nd hand parts.
