Hi,

Measured my RWHP on my S13 tonight with a Gtech meter, which is meant to be one of the most accurate ways of measuring RWHP!

SE RR Day RWHP 199

Gtech Meter RWHP 230:D :D :D

I have corrected the ingnition timing slightly since the RR day, but I doubt if it would make 30BHP difference!

Seems to tally up with what most people said the RR was inaccurate by!

Interesting analysis. Prior to the RR day Pete said that he felt the road under-runs figures, but the RR is brand new, so it must have been recently calibrated.

That yellow motor that ran at the end was run @ T&M's in Colchester the other week and made I think 8 hp less. Hmm .... T & M'a are known to over-read ???

This sorta thing is a bit tricky, I understand that there is another rolling road meet being arranged at another venue which is probably gonna be worth attending to get another opinion.

At the end of the day, the figures are all relative, so if you made more HP than another car, then you would at another rolling road.

I have been hearing such wacky HP figures from SE/Nisstek over the last couple of years, it's got me confused. Some cars with less mods can make a lot more than cars wth lots of mods.

A customer with similar mods to mine has made nearly 480+ @ flywheel!!

Getting everyone into one arena with the same measuring equipment helps even the figures. Last Sundays events has provided me with some usefull info. I know some people should have made loads more than me, but their ECU's were'nt optimaly mapped for the occasion.

I'll have to pinch your Gtech meter, maybee it will say I have a little more HP than I expect.

With your spec S13 I would have expected a lot more, perhaps you should speak to Jez on SXOC board.

Eddie, I'm curious to know where you got your ecu custom mapped.

I was under the impression that there was no-where left who could do this??

Pete @ SE/Nisstek. I've only got the standard Nissan ECU, Pete bunged one of chips on it, then mapped it a bit.

Still waiting on him to take it on the rollers and finish the job.
